Photo privacy cleanup
Inspect and remove location, device, time, author, and EXIF metadata before export.
The problem it solves: Shared photos can contain location, device, time, author, and copyright metadata that the sender did not intend to disclose.

What you can do
- Inspect selected photos for metadata privacy risks.
- Remove GPS coordinates, city, street, and geofence tags.
- Remove camera model, aperture, shutter, focal length, and detailed EXIF parameters.
- Remove capture time, modified time, author, photographer, copyright, and IPTC copyright data.

Workflow
- Select the photos to inspect.
- Review detected location, device, time, and author risks.
- Enable the metadata categories that should be removed.
- Keep an original copy when the metadata may be needed later.
- Run cleanup and review the exported copies.
Limitations
- Metadata cleanup cannot be undone on the generated copy.
- A field can only be removed when it is present and readable in the source file.

Can it remove GPS coordinates?
Yes. The location cleanup category covers GPS coordinates and related city, street, and geofence tags when present.
Does cleanup change the original file?
The workflow produces cleaned output. Keep the original until you have confirmed that no metadata needs to be retained.
